Dr. Hagen Hultzsch (Chairman)
Dr. Hagen Hultzsch has more than 40 years of experience in technology management. Up until 2001, Hagen was a member of the Management Board of Deutsche Telekom, where he was responsible for research and development, information technology, and quality. During Hagen's tenure, Deutsche Telekom evolved from a government-owned organization into a publicly-owned corporation with four separate business units. Prior to his work with Deutsche Telekom, Hagen held various executive positions at Volkswagen AG, Electronic Data Systems (EDS), and GSI, a German research organization. Previously, Hagen served as the Chair of the Supervisory Board of T-Venture Holding in Bonn, Germany, a corporate venture capital firm focusing on high technology investments in telecom software, wireless communications equipment, computer software and internet infrastructure.
Hagen studied Physics and Nuclear Physics at Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz. He was the founder of EARN, the European Academic and Research Network, for which he also served as a member of the Board of Directors. He has served as an Assistant Professor at Mainz University and has completed a fellowship at IBM's Thomas J. Watson Research Center.
Richard Seibt
Richard Seibt has 30 years of international business experience in the information technology industry. He began his professional career in sales at IBM in Stuttgart, followed by management positions in the fields of Business Development and Sales and Marketing both in Germany and in other European countries. As the Managing Director at IBM Deutschland, he handled sales and marketing for IBM software products in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland; later, he was also responsible for North America as Vice-President. Most recently, as the General Manager OS/2 at IBM, he was responsible for managing the development of the Operating System OS/2. In 1998, Richard became a Management Board member at United Internet AG. In January at 2003, he became the CEO at SuSE Linux AG. In February of 2004, when SuSE was acquired by Novell Inc., he was appointed President of Novell EMEA. Since he left in May of 2005, he has been focusing on a selected group of Linux and Open Source projects. Since August of 2005, he has served as the Chairman of the Open Source Congress "Open Source Meets Business" organized by Heise Media. In 2006 he founded the Open Source Business Foundation. and today he serves at the Board level of several Software Companies like Open-Xchange Inc., Scali Inc., LikewiseSoftware Inc., Kinamu AG, Collax Inc., eZ Systems AS, IISY AG, Evidanza GmbH, Sopera GmbH, Polepositioner AG and others.
Richard graduated from the University of Hamburg and holds a Diplom-Kaufmann degree.
Dr. Uwe Heckert
Dr. Uwe Heckert is the Senior Vice President and Member of the Management Committee ICT Operations at T-Systems, the business customer division of Deutsche Telekom Group. T-Systems offers telecommunication and IT services to customers across 23 countries.
Uwe joined T-Systems in mid 2005 as the Head of Strategy within the Sales & Service Management unit for large and international customers. Since July 2007, Uwe has been responsible for Operations Development of the ICT Operations including the strategic development as well as portfolio, solution, and asset management within the ICT factory.
Before joining T-Systems, Uwe worked as the Senior Engagement Manager for McKinsey's Business Technology office. During this time he focused on the management of large and critcal turnarounds as well as on supporting ICT providers and ICT users in developing and implementing their strategy.
Uwe studied Business Administration and Computer Science in Berlin, in Göttingen, and at the State University of New York. He received his PH.D. degreee in Business Computer Science from the University in Göttingen.
Oliver Fietz
Oliver Fietz is a Fund Manager at T-Venture, the Corporate Venture Capital arm of Deutsche Telekom AG. He has more than 11 years of experience in the equity industry holding positions in private equity, venture capital and M&A advisory at a leading wholesale bank. By joining T-Venture, he took over the value management of international investments in the telecommunication area. Today, Oliver is running the T-Corporate Venture Fund overseeing investments in emerging markets and in early stage companies. Recent activities include the establishment of a corporate-in-residence-partnership in China as a platform for local direct investments and the realization of corporate spin-offs. Oliver also serves on the board of 1bib.com Ltd. (Guangzhou, China) as well as on the investment committee of the High-Tech-Gruenderfonds (Bonn).
Oliver holds a degree in Business Administration from theUniversity of Cologne.
Holger Heinen
Holger Heinen is an Investment Manager with the High-Tech Gründerfonds, an investment fund focusing on young, high-opportunity technological companies. Holger has been an entrepreneur before he became an investment professional. He has more than 8 years of experience in managing a young IT company and has led the development of a geo information system.
Klaus-Juergen Buss
Klaus Juergen Buss has more than 20 years experience in corporate finance. He is head of finance for the Deutsche Telekom Laboratories which belongs to the central Product and Innovation division of Deutsche Telekom. Before joining Deutsche Telekom Klaus has been the inter alia head of the finance department of Lufthansa Systems and CFO of Planet Internet, a KPN B.V. spin-off.
Klaus holds an International Degree in Corporate Finance.
Prof. Dr. Rainer Gerten
Prof. Dr. Rainer Gerten has been a full-time professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Mannheim since 1995. He is founder and headed for 10 years the Institute for IT-Management and Internet Applications, member and project manager of the Steinbeis-Transferzentrum for technical advisory, member of SCOPAR (Scientific Consulting Partners), assessor for venture capital providers and banking houses and accompanies young companies in their entrepreneurship.
Prior to his call as a professor he has been CIO of the health fund company AOK of Rhineland-Palatinate. Rainer founded several companies, worked for various IT companies and has 30 years of experience in software development.
Rainer holds a Degree in Electrical Engineering and a PhD degree in Computational Science from the University of Kaiserslautern.
